Patna: A Autorickshaw driverSandeep Kumar (30) was stabbed to death outside his house in Kathaulia village Rajepur Police Station area in Muzaffarpur district late Monday evening. According to police, an unknown assailant approached Kumar while he was sleeping outside after dinner and stabbed him.
Hearing the commotion, Kumar’s family rushed outside and found him lying in a pool of blood. His father Bhagat said, “We came out after hearing the noise. Sandeep died due to excessive bleeding.” Police reached the spot and began investigation with the help of a forensic team. Kumar’s body was sent for post-mortem.
Radheshyam, the SHO of Rajepur police station, said Kumar was involved in an argument with local youths, also auto drivers, over a money issue just hours before his death. “We are examining all aspects, including the possibility of a transaction dispute. Nearby CCTVs are being examined to identify the attacker,” the SHO added.
Kumar, who was married seven years ago, is survived by his wife and two children.
