Clintonville man found not guilty by reason of insanity in stabbing mother

WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – A jury found 20-year-old Jordan Peters not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect Tuesday His mother’s death by knife.

The Clintonville resident will be housed in a Wisconsin Department of Health Services facility for the rest of his life.

Five people were arrested in the Oshkosh drug bust following a search warrant on Ceape Avenue

The The incident occurred on Monday, September 4, 2023at Memorial Circle, where Peters stabbed his mother while driving. She managed to stop the vehicle and call 911, but later died from her injuries. Peters remained at the scene and was arrested without resistance.

The tragic case ends with the jury’s verdict citing mental illness as a key factor.
