Shots fired at rideshare driver in Severn: Police

SEVERN, Md. – Shots were fired at a rideshare driver in Severn this weekend, police said.

Officers said they arrested the suspect, who was identified as 20-year-old Kymoni Quantay Turner of Severn.

Authorities said they were called to the 1800 block of Eagle Court around 3 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, the male suspect, a rideshare customer, got into an argument with a 28-year-old male driver.

Officials said the driver then refused to give the suspect a ride.

Authorities accused the suspect of threatening to rob and shoot the driver, who then drove away.

Police said the suspect fired several shots at the driver, who escaped uninjured.

Officers said they found the suspect at his home in the 1800 block of Eagle Court and took him into custody.
