Man arrested for sexually assaulting Bergen County teen: prosecutor

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A New Milford man has been arrested for sexually abusing a child “on multiple occasions,” prosecutors said.

Shaboo O. Williams, 31, of New Milford, was charged with second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.

Prosecutors say that last Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted regarding the alleged past sexual assault of a juvenile.

An investigation revealed that Williams sexually abused the victim in New Milford on several occasions when the child was between 13 and 18 years old.

He was arrested in New Milford, New Jersey, and taken to the Bergen County Jail pending his initial appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
