Norway’s TV2, NDR Forum, true crime, drug smuggling drama “Ecaping Bolivia” | News

Norwegian broadcaster TV2 and German broadcaster NDR are on board a true crime drama about three Norwegian women who were jailed in Bolivia in 2008 after being caught with several kilos of cocaine in their bags.

Escaping Bolivia is in production, filming will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, with production companies Fenomen and 4½ Films.

The six-part series is scheduled to be released at the end of 2025 and will be distributed internationally by Copenhagen-based ReInvent Studios. The Oslo Film Fund is also on board as a co-producer.

Håkon Øverås produces for 4½ and Marte Hansen for TV2. Josephine Tetlie, Ella Øverbye and Lisa Hovden play the three women, who were 17, 18 and 21 years old when they were arrested.
