January 2023: Nervousness on the first date

In August 2023, Kelsea posted footage from the beginning of her relationship and shared a throwback clip on TikTok in which she prepares for her first official date on January 7, 2023.

“Have a great weekend,” she captioned the post, “here’s a video I sent to my best friend before my first date with Chase.”

Kelsea modeled her outfit in the video for her song “How Do I Do This,” which is about a first date after many years.

“Here’s the look with the boots,” Kelsea said as she looked at herself in the full-length mirror.

Turning around to show off her half-up, half-down hairstyle, she added: “We have the hair clip because we’re trying to be a cool girl.”

She further spoke to an unnamed friend and explained: “He’s picking me up and we’re going to a sushi place and I’ll call you tomorrow for a full update.”

She took a deep breath, raised an arm and a finger in the air, and finally said, “I can do this. I can do this.”

And after a little dance, she announced, “It’s just a date. You just go and eat something and talk about the things you do, okay?”
