An early morning accident leaves one dead in Ascension Parish

GEISMAR, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana State Police are investigating an early morning fatal crash in Geismar.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 6 a.m. on Highway 30 near Highway 3115. The accident killed at least one person.

Motorists are asked to avoid driving in the area at this time.
