Bruce Campbell addresses the delays in the Ash vs Evil Dead Animated series. Campbell is known for his work on the evil Dead Series that started with The evil dead in 1981. Campbell stars in the series as Ash Williams, a college student who must survive after the four people he vacations with are subjected to demonic possession. Ash remains the main character in the following two films: Evil Dead II And Army of Darkness. The evil dead was also developed into a TV series titled Ash vs Evil Deadwhich ran for three seasons.




In an exclusive interview with Screen rant for his new show Hysteria!Campbell discusses the status of the Ash vs Evil Dead animated adaptation. Campbell initially confirmed that “[they]We are developing an animated series.” The evil Dead However, the actor didn’t seem to have any concrete information about when the series would be released. Instead, he stated that “However, things like this take forever,” and that’s why you should visit him again in a few years. Check out Campbell’s full quote below:

Well, we’re developing an animated series, so I can still do that. However, things like this take forever. So check back in about five years. [Chuckles]

The show’s stage of development is unclear


Campbell’s statement comes nearly three years after the actor first expressed interest in the project in December 2021. In July 2022, the actor confirmed that a Ash vs Evil Dead The animated show is in talks, and last year he confirmed it was in active development. At the time, Campbell mentioned that she “actively pursue it,” while still taking note of this evil Dead Series creator Sam Raimi is “a busy guy.” From the latest quote, it appears that development is not as active as the 2023 quote would suggest.
