A vehicle thief in Sheboygan has been arrested.

Sheboygan police were called yesterday (October 14).Th) around 4 p.m. to report a stolen vehicle.

A short time after the call, Sheboygan officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop the driver, a 35-year-old from Cascade.

The vehicle came to a stop at North Taylor Drive and State Highway 23, where authorities attempted to negotiate with the 35-year-old.

These negotiations were successful and the Cascade native was taken into custody without incident.

Sheboygan police thanked the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the Village of Kohler Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol for their assistance, and the community for its patience as roads were closed during negotiations with the car thief.
