Bury woman who died in a tragic accident pictured for the first time

A woman who died after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Bury has been named and photographed for the first time.

Amy McNicholas, 30, was hospitalized on Wednesday, October 2nd and died five days later.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due attention and attention.

She was released on bail.

In an emotional tribute, Amy’s family said: “We are heartbroken at the loss of our beloved daughter Amy, who tragically passed away so unexpectedly.”

“She was the kindest soul and a joy to be with always. Our family will be missing a part now that she is gone.”

“She cared about everyone she knew and always had a smile on her face. Amy will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.”

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and any dashcam or CCTV footage of the accident, which occurred on Manchester Road.
