13-year-old dies after hayride accident at St. Augusta Harvest of Horror

A 13-year-old boy died Saturday night after being run over by a tractor trailer during a haunted hayride in St. Augusta.

According to a news release, officers responded to the Harvest of Horror Haunted Hayride event in the 4100 block of 200th Street shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Bystanders and event staff assisted on site by immediately providing first aid. The St. Augusta Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance responded to the call.

Despite their best efforts, Alexander Mick of Rice was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
