Four minors were sexually abused for a year by a 54-year-old man in Gujarat’s Vaso

A 54-year-old man, Chandrakant Patel alias Chandro painter, has been accused of sexually abusing four minor girls in a village near Vaso taluka in Gujarat.

The girls, aged between 9 and 11, were lured by Patel with chocolates and ice cream. There were three siblings among the four girls. Initial investigations revealed that the girls had been abused for about a year.

When the mother of one of the girls found out about the abuse, the family filed a complaint at the Vaso police station.

Police arrested Patel and seized his cellphone, which contained about 35 photos and videos of the sexual assault. The phone was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis.

The Vaso police, Kheda police and the local crime branch have formed teams to investigate the case.

The girls have been medically examined and further tests will be carried out once the medical reports are available.
