Man seriously injured, charged with DUI after tractor-trailer crash in Wells County

WELLS COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 200 near Skyeston just after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th. The driver of a pickup truck is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after rear-ending a semi-trailer.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Justin Bell of West Fargo failed to notice the semi-truck slowing to make a turn and collided with the trailer he was towing.

Bell was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Carrington Hospital, where he was stabilized. He was then flown by rescue helicopter to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Bell was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, 45-year-old Dustin Duda of Cathay, North Dakota, was not injured.
