6 people accuse Diddy of sexual assault in new lawsuits, including a man who was 16 years old at the time

NEW YORK – Sean “Diddy” Combs was hit Monday by a new wave of lawsuits accusing him of raping women, sexually assaulting men and molesting a 16-year-old boy. It is the first time that he has been sued by someone alleging that he was abused as a minor.

At least six lawsuits have been filed against Combs in Manhattan federal court, adding to a growing list of legal claims against the accused hip-hop mogul, all of which he has denied. The lawsuits were filed anonymously to protect the identities of the accusers, two by women identified as Jane Does and four by men identified as John Does.

Some of the “does,” echoing others who have accused Combs in recent months, claim that he used his fame and the promise of potential fame to lure victims to lavish parties or drug bars, where he then took them attacked. Some claim he beat them or drugged them. Others say he threatened to kill them if they didn’t do what he wanted or if they spoke out against him.

The lawsuits describe alleged assaults in the mid-1990s, including at Combs’ prominent white parties in Long Island’s Hamptons, at a party in Brooklyn honoring Combs’ then-employee Biggie Smalls, and even in the warehouse of the flagship Macy’s department store in Midtown Manhattan.

Lawyers claim over 100 accusers are preparing legal action

The plaintiffs in Monday’s lawsuits are among a group of more than 100 accusers pursuing legal action against Combs following his arrest on federal sex trafficking charges Sept. 16, according to their attorneys. Plaintiffs’ attorney Tony Buzbee announced the proposed litigation at a news conference on Oct. 1 and released a 1-800 number for plaintiffs to call.

In a statement, Combs’ lawyers criticized these tactics as “clear attempts to garner publicity” and said the rapper and his legal team “have full confidence in the facts, their legal defense and the integrity of the legal process.” The truth will prevail in court : that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone – adult or minor, man or woman.”

Combs, 54, has pleaded not guilty in his criminal case. It involves allegations that he coerced and abused women for years with the help of a network of associates and associates, while simultaneously silencing victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and physical beatings.

The Bad Boy Records founder has been denied bail twice and remains locked up in a federal prison in Brooklyn while he awaits trial in May. Two judges concluded that Combs would pose a danger to the community if released. On Friday, an appeals court judge denied Combs’ immediate release from prison while a three-judge panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals weighed his request for bail.

New lawsuit alleging abuse of minors

Before Monday’s series of lawsuits, all of the accusers suing Combs had been adults at the time of her alleged abuse, although a Chicago record producer claimed in a February lawsuit that he had “irrefutable evidence” that Combs sexually abused minors.

In a lawsuit Monday, a John Doe claimed Combs fondled his genitals when he was 16 at one of Combs’ white parties in 1998. The man, who now lives in North Carolina, claims Combs told him he had “the looks” of a star and then abruptly ordered the then-teenager to drop his pants.

According to the man’s lawsuit, Combs told him that becoming a music star was a rite of passage and once asked him, “Don’t you want to get into the business?” The man said he did so out of fear, anxiety and a power imbalance. that he felt about Combs, relenting and only later realizing that what he said was sexual assault.

Other lawsuits filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan include allegations of rape, forced oral sex and using drugs to incapacitate victims.

One of the Jane Does claims Combs raped her in a locked hotel room in 2004 after inviting her and a friend to a party there, giving them drinks and telling them to snort cocaine. The woman, then a college freshman, claims Combs also forced her friend to perform oral sex on him and threatened their lives if they didn’t comply.

Another Jane Doe alleged that Combs violently assaulted and raped her in a bathroom at a party in Brooklyn in 1995 for Smalls’ “One More Chance” music video. Smalls, also known as the Notorious BIG, was killed two years later in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

According to the woman, Combs took her to the bathroom to have a private conversation and unexpectedly began kissing her. As she tried to break away, she claimed he slammed her head against the wall, causing her to fall to the floor. She said she tried to escape, but Combs beat and raped her again.

Afterward, the woman said, Combs casually adjusted his clothing and told her, “You better not tell anyone about this or you’ll disappear.”

The other John Doe lawsuits allege: Combs sexually assaulted a security guard at a white party in 2006 after giving him a drugged drink; forced a man who worked for a rival fashion brand to perform oral sex on him in the Macy’s stockroom in 2008; and sexually assaulted a man at a party in October 2021.

The latter man, who suspects he was unable to fight back due to a drugged drink, recalls several men attacking him and clearly remembers Combs being naked at one point during the attack to have seen above himself, it was said in his statement of claim.
