US 70 reopens after Wilson’s Mills accident

WILSON’S MILLS – A collision Monday afternoon brought traffic to a halt on eastbound U.S. 70 near Swift Creek Road in Wilson’s Mills when a dump truck and at least three passenger vehicles collided.

When the accident occurred, cars and trucks were slowing down due to a road closure in a construction zone.

The truck driver was uninjured, and two other people, including a small child, suffered minor injuries.

Wilson’s Mills Fire, Johnston County EMS and Wilson’s Mills Police responded to the accident.
