Semi-accident reported on Saturday – Ingstad Media

Two people were injured in an accident involving a semi-truck in Polk County on Saturday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Tony Keith Layrock, 45, of Searcy, Arkansas, was injured when the eastbound 2019 RAM pickup he was driving “crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 1987 Peterbilt Semi.” .

Layrock and the 84-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries, which emergency responders at the scene described as non-life-threatening.

Authorities responded just before 5 p.m.

Officials say alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
