A man was found stabbed to death in an apartment in New Jersey, officials said

A man was found stabbed to death in an Essex County apartment Sunday morning, authorities said.

Police arrived at the apartment on Main Street in East Orange around 11:30 a.m. and found a man suffering from stab wounds, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.

The victim, identified as William Gilliam, 51, of East Orange, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

There were no arrests. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office asks anyone with information to call the hotline at 877-847-7432.
