Tragic collision: 3-year-old girl dies when tractor hits auto-rickshaw | Patna News

Patna: In a tragic incident a three year old girl died and two others were injured when a speeding tractor collided head-on with an autorickshaw they were traveling in near Danapur on Monday morning. The girl died on the way to the hospital while the injured were referred to PMCH for better treatment, police said.
The incident took place around 5.30 am near Peer Baba Mazar in Cantonment district when a car carrying five passengers was traveling from Maner to Danapur. A tractor driving towards Maner crashed into the car. After the accident, the tractor driver fled with the vehicle.

Danapur SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said a girl named Anya Kumari alias Pari died in the accident while her father Anil Kumar and a youth Pramod Kumar sustained injuries. “The injured were admitted to Danapur sub-divisional hospital and from there they were referred to PMCH. “The car has been impounded and efforts are on to identify the tractor driver,” he said.
Anil teaches at a private school in the Buddha Colony.
He told police that his daughter was studying in a kindergarten and he was returning to Patna with his family from Maner after the Dussehra holidays when the accident happened. “Both the car and the tractor were traveling at high speed,” he said.
