Mobile County man convicted of possession of child pornography

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Chickasaw man who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography earlier this year has been sentenced to federal prison.

William Bradley Noletto, 44, was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison.

According to court documents, in October 2021 and May 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received tips from an internet service that files containing child pornography had been uploaded by someone with an email address associated with Noletto. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Noletto’s home in February 2023 and found devices containing approximately 2,500 images and 300 videos depicting child pornography, according to a court document.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama, Noletto was initially charged with state crimes and released on bail.

Court documents showed that in August 2023, an MCSO deputy conducting an investigation to identify people sharing child pornography online was able to download several files from a local user, later identified as Noletto.

In September 2023, a second search warrant was executed at Noletto’s home and authorities found 50 images of child pornography on his cell phone.

Noletto pleaded guilty to possessing more than 600 images and videos of child pornography, including images of prepubescent children.

Federal prosecutors said Noletto received an enhanced sentence because she was previously convicted in Mobile County Circuit Court of attempted sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.

At Friday’s sentencing, U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose imposed a 120-month prison sentence with credit for time served. Afterwards, Noletto must also serve 20 years of supervised release. While on supervised release, he will undergo sex offender treatment, drug testing and psychiatric treatment. He must register as a sex offender and is not allowed to have contact with minors.
