BBC viewers are saying the same thing minutes into new drama ‘Mr. Loverman” | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

The viewers of “Mr. Loverman” praised the powerful and emotional drama series just minutes into the first episode on Monday.

The new drama, an adaptation of Bernardine Evaristo’s book “Mr. Loverman”, broadcast on BBC One in a double performance of the first and second episodes.

The new show follows Barrington Jedidiah Walker (Lennie James), a 74-year-old exuberant Hackney socialite born in Antigua, and his 50-year-old wife Carmel Walker (Sharon D. Clarke), who senses Barry is cheating on her has with other women.
