Tragic hit-and-run claims life of 50-year-old in Ghaziabad | Noida News

Ghaziabad: A 50-year-old man died after he was hit by a white scorpion near Madhuban Bapudham post office on Sunday evening. The driver drove off while the victim was taken to hospital by Cheetah vehicle patrol groups.
Kavi Nagar ACP Abhishek Srivastava said the incident was reported from the hospital where the victim, Umesh Kumar, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
“Police investigation revealed that Kumar, a resident of Duhai, was on his way to his house when he was struck by a white scorpion Vehicle registration Number UP14FZ4003. An FIR has been registered against the driver of the vehicle under sections 106 (causing death due to negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the BNS. Police are checking CCTV footage from nearby areas to know more about the incident while a police team is trying to nab the accused using the vehicle number.
