Jury finds Hibbing man guilty of sexually assaulting teenager

HIBBING, Minn. (Northern News Now) – An Iron Range jury has found a man guilty of multiple sexual assaults on a teenager he knew.

After five days of trial, 51-year-old Raymond Strong of Hibbing was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault on Friday, October 11th.

The teen reported the assaults in June 2023, according to court documents.

In August, Strong pleaded not guilty to the assaults.

His sentencing is scheduled for November 26, where he faces up to 40 years in prison.
