Canadian police said Monday that they have significant amounts of information about criminal activities orchestrated by Indian government agents.

The investigation has revealed that Indian diplomats and consular officials based in Canada are exploiting their official positions to engage in “clandestine activities,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said.

The Indian government collected information through its officials in the country and that information was then used by the Indian government to target members of the South Asian community, RCMP said.
