Pune: Four-year-old sexually abused by maternal uncle; Investigations are ongoing

Ghorpadi, October 14, 2024: An incident has come to light in which a four-year-old girl living in a slum area of ​​Ghorpadi was sexually abused by her 40-year-old maternal uncle. In this regard, a case was registered against a person on Monday morning (October 14), the accused is absconding and Mundhwa police are searching for the accused.

A four-year-old girl lives with her parents and sister in Ghorpadi; the accused has known her parents for seven to eight years. A few years ago he lived next door before moving half a mile from the house. He would always come to the victim’s house, walk with the victim and his sister and give them treats.

On Sunday morning (October 13), the defendant came to the victim’s house in the mother’s absence and took the little girl with him. Since the girl didn’t come home very late, the mother inquired and found out that the defendant had taken her with him.

When the mother went to the defendant’s house, she found that the defendant had misbehaved with her daughter. She slapped him on the spot and scolded him and took the little girl home. When the girl developed a stomach ache around 7 p.m., the mother went to the police and filed a report.

According to Senior Police Inspector Neelkanth Jagtap of Mundhwa police station, a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act after the night medical examination of the girl. The defendant has a habit of various addictions. He further informed that two teams of Mundhwa Police are further investigating the matter.
