Police – NBC 6 South Florida

A 17-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after officials said he was found with apparent gunshot wounds in southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday.

According to police, police received a ShotSpotter alert on the 17900 block of SW 104th Avenue just before 7 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old with apparent gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported him to Jackson South Medical Center in critical condition.

Officials have not yet released any further details about the teen’s condition, his identity or the events leading up to the shooting.
