One person was hospitalized following the shooting in Greenville Sunday night

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Greenville police say one person is in custody for questioning following a shooting at a gas station Sunday night.

According to police, officers were called to the Sheetz gas station on Moye Boulevard around 9 p.m. last night.

According to officials, one person was shot and taken to ECU Health Medical Center and a suspect was taken into custody for questioning.

According to police, the two people know each other. Officials say there is no danger to the population.

WITN has been told more details are likely to be released later today.
