East Orange police are investigating the shots fired incident

East Orange police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Sunday night in the 40 block of New Street.The incident was reported around 11 p.m. after a ShotSpotter device detected 14 shots fired in the neighborhood.

When police arrived, they discovered several bullet casings, but did not find any injuries or victims when they searched the area.

The suspect responsible for the shooting remains at large and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances behind the incident.

So far there have been no arrests.
