Rider dead, rider hospitalized after motorcycle crash in Anderson

PIEDMONT, SC (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person is dead and another is injured after a crash in Piedmont Sunday evening.

According to the highway patrol, at 8:06 p.m., a motorcycle carrying two people was traveling west on SC 28 near Shiloh Church Road when it went off the right side of the road, entered a ditch and then overturned.

Officials said the driver and passenger were both taken to the hospital, but the driver died.

At this time, the coroner’s office has not identified the driver.
