Amanda Owen delivers tragic five-word verdict on split from Clive at their reunion Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Amanda Owen has openly revealed that her family life wasn’t the “happily ever after” she once imagined. The Our Yorkshire Farm star caught up with Lorraine on ITV to talk about her new show, which also stars her former husband Clive Owen, despite their 22-year marriage coming to an end.

The couple’s split became a public sensation following the success of their Channel 5 series, which made them popular with many viewers. Determined to continue filming and provide stability for their nine children, Amanda and Clive have settled into a platonic relationship as the series continues.

During her conversation with Lorraine, Amanda talked about coping with life after the breakup and the dynamics of working with Clive. She shared with viewers: “You know, that’s why people think we’re so likable, because we didn’t get a happy ending. Things don’t always go according to plan, but we make it work for us,” reports the Mirror .

Amanda and Clive team up on Channel 4 to renovate an abandoned barn adjacent to their famous farm, Ravenseat. With the rules to follow and a big task ahead of them, the pair will be put to the test as they try to save the building.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess previously revealed that their plan is to make the barn a new family base and that they are looking to leave a legacy for their family.

This comes after Amanda and Clive announced their split in 2022, marking the end of their Channel 5 show. Even though their marriage may be over, the two seem to be on amicable terms as Amanda shared her verdict on her ex.

Amanda told The Sun: “I stick his head in and he pulls my head in. But basically we’re on the same page.”

The series will also provide insight into the couple’s nine children as the family bonds in the Channel 4 series.

“I see it as a labor of love, an absolute nightmare and very expensive,” Amanda admits. “I’m Yorkshire through and through, so if I can find a way to save money and save myself a bit of money, then of course I can.” But we’re a family and we have to make ends meet.
