After a bomb threat on Air India Mumbai-New York diverted the flight to New Delhi on Monday morning, similar threats were received on two IndiGo aircraft within minutes.

Bomb threat on IndiGo flights Mumbai-Muscat and Mumbai-Jeddah

On Monday, IndiGo flight 6E 1275, flying from Mumbai to Muscat, received a bomb threat.

An IndiGo spokesperson said that the IndiGo Mumbai-Muscat flight was taken to a remote bay as per standard protocol and mandatory security checks were immediately initiated as per standard operating procedure.

Later, another IndiGo flight, aircraft 6E 56 Mumbai-Jeddah, received a bomb threat. It was also taken to a secluded bay.

Bomb threat on Air India flight Mumbai-New York

Earlier in the day, an Air India flight between Mumbai and New York carrying 239 passengers was diverted to New Delhi and had to make an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport following security concerns due to a bomb threat.

Mumbai-Howrah Mail receives threat to blow up train

Not just planes, a train – Mumbai-Howrah Mail (Train No. 12809, superfast train from CMST in Mumbai to HWH in Kolkata) received a threat to blow up the train with a time bomb.

According to ANI, Off-Control received news of a time bomb on board the train around 4:00 am on Monday following which the train was stopped at Jalgaon station and a thorough inspection was carried out.

No suspicious items were found during the inspection. Thereafter, the train continued its journey to its destination, said CPRO, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Central Railway.
