ITV WILL PILOT LIFTED ENTERTAINMENT’S PHYSICAL CHALLENGE SHOW

ITV is set to trial a new physical challenge format from Lifted Entertainment (part of ITV Studios), with filming taking place in Australia.

Applications are now possible (Here) for the participation of teams of 3. All team members must know each other and be ready to take on a challenge! These can be, for example, friends, family, colleagues, neighbors.

Elsewhere, ITV has reportedly commissioned a UK version of reality survival format The Summit. The sun Newspaper reports.

The format, which has been a success in Australia and was recently commissioned in the US, sees a group of strangers from all walks of life coming together to embark on an epic adventure and climb one of the highest mountains in the world within a limited amount of time to climb to win the prize prize pot.

Each participant carries a portion of the prize pot on their back as they hike to the summit and face adrenaline-pumping challenges that block their path to the mountain. During their journey, participants will be forced to eliminate people from the group.

The Summit is a game of betrayal, trust and greed that will test all participants physically and mentally. The Sun reports that the prize pot for the British series, which was reportedly commissioned by ITV, will be £500,000.

A source told The Sun: “The summit combines sneakiness and strategy with physical endurance and tension against the clock. It was brilliantly translated into Australian television where the hikers climbed Mount Cook in New Zealand…”

“The two series produced fast-paced drama, thrilling moments of danger and good old-fashioned reality TV drama between warring factions. ITV is now looking for the first British series to follow the same format and also air “one of the world’s most brutal peaks.”

Further details will be announced in due course.
