Weeks before Election Day, Trump is holding a rally in Prescott Valley

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily)—Just weeks before Election Day, former President Donald Trump held a rally before a sellout crowd in Prescott Valley on Sunday.

Arizona is expected to once again play a crucial role in the race for the White House in 2024. With early voting already underway in the state, Arizona’s family spoke to Trump supporters outside the rally about their top issues this election season. These include the border, the economy and abortion.

“Nobody is perfect. This guy is imperfect, Trump, but he knows how to run the country. He’s done it before and he’ll do it again,” said supporter Bob Pedersen.

The former president spoke for about an hour and a half at the Findlay Toyota Center, focusing heavily on the border and immigration.

Trump announced that if elected, he would ask Congress to immediately approve a 10% pay raise for all Border Patrol agents and give them a $10,000 joining and signing bonus.

He also accepted an endorsement from the National Border Patrol Council, a longtime supporter that had supported him during his two previous campaigns.

“I think the biggest problem (the polls) is the economy and inflation, and I agree those are terrible problems. But I think the main problem is the destruction of our country, what happened at the border. I really think that’s actually the number one problem,” Trump said.

During the rally, Trump also addressed the economy and inflation and made several attacks on the record of his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I think he showed us with his previous presidency how good he really is. How good he is on economics, how good he is on the world stage and how good he is on the border,” said another supporter, Lori Sundberg.

Trump’s visit was the latest in a week that brought together both presidential candidates and their running mate in Arizona.
