“The drama would promote social change”

(Web Desk) – Actor Usman Mukhtar said he chose drama series ‘Jafa’ as it deals with domestic violence that he has personally experienced in his practical life.

He said one reason he took on Jafa was to raise awareness of the terrible problem of domestic violence that he has personally experienced.

Usman said in a post on Instagram, “After every episode, I usually share a picture and ask for your feedback.”

However, everything feels different now.”

He continued: “One of the main reasons I chose Jafa was to highlight the destructive problem of domestic violence that I have closely observed.”

Usman Mukhtar stated that Mohib Mirza and Mawra Hocane did a fantastic job in portraying the emotions, although he was not personally involved in this storyline.

Usman believed the drama would spark social change by drawing attention to the silent torment of many women.

He thanked the show’s producer Momina Duraid and director Danish Nawaz for their thoughtful and responsible handling of the sensitive issue.

In Jafa, Mawra Hocane plays Dr. Zara, who suffers from the violent outbursts and psychological problems of her abusive husband Hassan (Mohib Mirza).

Although he urges Hassan to seek professional help for his anger issues, he lies about sticking with therapy.

In a recent episode, Dr. Zara decides to leave Hassan after discovering his deception, leading to a violent confrontation.

The situation escalates and Hassan’s aggression sends Dr. Zara to the hospital, raising awareness of the serious consequences of domestic violence.
