Police arrest suspect after stabbing at New Westminster Skytrain station

Police in New Westminster say they have arrested a person suspected of stabbing two people at a Skytrain station in the city.

They say numerous people called around 6:45 p.m. Friday to report a stabbing on Columbia Street in front of the train station.

<p>According to police, officers rushed to the scene and arrested someone matching the suspect’s description.</p>
<p>They say investigators have confirmed that two people were stabbed, one of whom suffered minor injuries, while the second victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.</p>
<p>According to police, the suspect remains in custody.</p>
<p>Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.</p>
