Man allegedly killed mother and went to Wendy covered in blood

TEXAS CITY, Texas (WKRC) – A man was arrested after police said he killed his mother and walked into a Wendy’s restaurant still covered in her blood and his own bleeding wounds.

According to authorities, officers with the Texas City Police Department received a call about a bloodied man with “visible injuries” at a Wendy’s.

According to a police Facebook post, police found 30-year-old Johnathan Armand Taylor still inside the Wendy’s when they arrived. According to the press release, Taylor initially told officers that he had been robbed but eventually revealed a different story.

“While speaking with Taylor, he stated that he assaulted his mother in his apartment,” the release said. “Officers arrived on scene and observed his mother, 68-year-old Regina McIntyre, lying on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds.”

McIntyre was taken to hospital by helicopter but died from her injuries later that night.

The reason and motive for the killing have not been disclosed, but court documents are available Law and crime discovered two pieces of evidence: a gold necklace belonging to the victim and a machete belonging to the defendant.

Taylor was arrested and faces charges of murder and resisting arrest, search or transportation Law and crime.
