Home and Away’s Tane faces major new baby plot drama

Home and Away’s Tane Parata is feeling torn about his conflicting responsibilities on British screens next week.

The Summer Bay favorite is in high demand with Harper Matheson and Perri Hayes both counting on his support.

In upcoming scenes, Harper urges Tane to be more committed to her and her unborn baby, but this coincides with Perri also seeking Tane’s help as he prepares for an important court appearance.

The trouble begins when Harper realizes that Tane’s involvement in her pregnancy still appears to be unexplained.

Although Tane has agreed to support Harper and her baby, it is unclear whether they will be a couple and what their living arrangements will be.

Harper is worried when Xander innocently asks Delaney if Tane will attend childbirth class with her – a question she doesn’t know the answer to.

The tactless John Palmer makes matters worse by questioning Harper about whether she will live with Tane after the baby is born.

Harper snaps at John and confirms that she and Tane haven’t discussed birthing classes, scans or where they live. Her sister Dana steps in to save her from the awkward conversation, but she also pushes Harper to take decisive action and get answers to these all-important questions.

When Harper visits Tane, she is relieved because he seems fully committed and promises to be there for all future scans and appointments.

Unfortunately, this conversation means Tane misses an important meeting between Perri and Rose Delaney due to the teenager’s upcoming court date.

Perri is forced to testify after reporting his father to the police for violent and abusive behavior. Rose informs Perri of what to expect, but after Perri has this conversation alone, he confronts Tane for no longer supporting him.

Tane realizes that keeping both Harper and Perri happy will be a tricky task – and his dilemma comes to a head quicker than expected when Harper’s next scan and Perri’s court date are both scheduled for the same date.

Where will Tane’s loyalty lie when Harper and Perri both need him the most?

Home and Away will air these scenes on Tuesday October 22nd and Wednesday October 23rd on Channel 5.
