One person was seriously injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in Jefferson County

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – One person was seriously injured in a car accident Sunday afternoon in Jefferson County.

According to the KHP accident log, a 2003 Tribute Mazda was traveling north on Wellman Road, south of K16, after 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The driver left the road to the right and overturned the K16, where he rolled over into the north ditch.

The driver, Gretchen Copeland, 16, of McLouth, was taken to Stormont Vail with suspected serious injuries.
