Man charged with murder for shooting another man in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 35-year-old Saturday evening in Brunswick, according to Glynn County Police.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting near Ninth and Pine streets around 8:20 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the street with gunshot wounds.

The man, identified as Bobby Harris, died at a local hospital, police said.

During the investigation, investigators were able to execute search warrants on hotel rooms, which police say led to the discovery of key evidence in Harris’ murder.

On Sunday, police said they arrested Sheldon Wright, a Savannah resident. He was charged with aggravated murder, first degree murder and intent to distribute cocaine.

According to police, additional arrests are expected in this case.
