Two people have died in a tragic three-car accident on Highway 410

A three-car crash on Highway 410 left two people dead and at least three others injured.

The accident occurred Sunday afternoon about seven miles east of Enumclaw, at milepost 34. That’s about four miles east of SE Mud Mountain Road.

The accident closed Highway 410 in both directions.

A helicopter took two victims to a Seattle-area hospital. According to authorities, the two people are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters and paramedics treated another person with moderate injuries.

Multiple police and fire departments are involved in the rescue, including the Enumclaw Fire Department, Buckley Fire, Puget Sound Fire, Valley Regional Fire Authority, King County Medic One and the Washington State Patrol.

Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area while state police investigate the crash.
