Woman’s body found with stab wounds

NEW DELHI: The body of a 30-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds was found in southeast Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj area on Sunday, police said.

The woman’s partner, Toffiq alias Sonu, has been booked in connection with the matter, they said.

After receiving information about the knife attack on a woman, a police team rushed to the spot and found her lying in a pool of blood, a senior police official said.

The victim’s daughter told police that she and her brother found her mother unconscious and bleeding on the first floor of their home around 3 p.m., the official said.

Crime and forensic teams were called in and examined the spot, the official added.

According to the official, the victim’s daughter suspects that her mother’s partner, Toffiq, killed her. “We have registered a murder case against Toffiq. According to police records, Toffiq is a historian and is wanted for murder, attempted murder and criminal intimidation. He is out on bail,” the official said. Several teams have been formed to nab the accused, police said.
