Billy Joel played the brand new LA area venue – the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California – on October 12th and welcomed two special guests to the stage.

When Billy wrapped up his residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden in July, Guns n’ Roses Singer Axl Rose was his special guest, and Rose returned again Saturday night, singing GN’R’s version of wing‘ James Bond theme “Live and Let Die”. In contrast to the MSG show, however, was Axl – who briefly sang the lead role AC/DC a few years ago – didn’t accompany Billy for a cover of “Highway to Hell.”

Billy’s second guest of the evening was John Mayerwho played guitar as Billy sang “This Is the Time,” a romantic ballad from his 1986 album The bridge. John performed the same song with Billy in 2008 during Piano Man’s Last game at Shea Concerts in New York City.

Billy’s next show is October 25th at the Alamodome in St. Antonio, Texas. On November 9th he will play in a double line-up Sting at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
