Double knife attack in the Bronx near a mall that kills two men: NYPD

Two men were stabbed in the Bronx early Sunday morning, according to police.

According to law enforcement sources, the bloodshed occurred around 4:51 a.m. on Oct. 13 outside a shopping center on Stratford Ave. 1215 in Soundview.

officers of the 43rd DistrictWhile responding to a 911 call regarding the location, they found a 27-year-old man stabbed in the chest and a 24-year-old man stabbed in the abdomen.

The emergency services took both victims to Jacobi Hospital, where they died a short time later. Police have withheld her identity pending notification of family.

At the start of the investigation, police sources had no information about a possible motive or description of a suspect. Sources also didn’t know if the two men were connected in any way.

So far there have been no arrests as part of the ongoing investigation, police said.

According to the most recent CompStat report, the 43rd District reported nine homicides year-to-date through Oct. 6, one fewer than the 10 counted at the same point in 2023.
