Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired outside a nightclub in an upscale area of ​​London.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots following a verbal altercation between a group of people outside a nightclub in Russell Gardens, West Kensington, at 4am this morning.

Casings were found at the scene after officers from the Metropolitan Police attended the scene and searched the location.

According to police, everyone involved left the scene before they arrived and no injuries were reported.

A crime scene remains in place while investigations continue.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or anyone who has information that could help police, to come forward.

A statement from the Met said: “Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a shooting in West Kensington.”

“The incident occurred at around 4am on Sunday, October 13, outside a nightclub in Russell Gardens, W14.

“Witnesses reported hearing gunshots following a verbal argument between a group of people. Everyone involved left the scene before police arrived.

“Officers attended the scene and casings were found during a search of the location.” A crime scene remains in place while investigations continue.

“There have been no reports of injuries.”
