Man Killed, Child Injured in Abington Car Crash – NBC Boston

A driver is dead and an underage passenger was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Abington, Massachusetts, Saturday evening.

The accident occurred on Richard A. Fitts Drive just before 7:30 p.m

The driver, a 44-year-old man from Dedham, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being kept secret until his family is notified.

A teenage passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and flown to a Boston hospital. A small dog traveling in the car was also found dead at the scene of the accident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
