A man is dead after a shooting in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood Saturday evening.

What we know

The St. Paul Police Department (SPPD) said its officers responded to the area of ​​Woodbridge Street and Wheelock Parkway after 911 callers reported a person had been shot.

Police said they then found a man lying on the ground near the intersection with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man reportedly died after being taken to the hospital.

The SPPD has not announced any arrests in connection with the case.

What we don’t know

Police have not released information about possible suspects or details about what may have led to the shooting.

The victim’s name and official cause of death are expected to be released by the Ramsey County Coroner’s Office.
