Scottish DJ Jackmaster dies after accident in Ibiza

Scottish DJ Jack Revill – who performed under the name Jackmaster – has sadly passed away, a statement from his family confirmed on Instagram.

“It is with deep sadness that we confirm the untimely death of Jack Revill, known to many as Jackmaster,” reads the post shared late on October 12th.

“Jack tragically died on the morning of October 12th in Ibiza as a result of an accidental head injury,” it continued. “His family – Kate, Sean and Johnny – are deeply heartbroken.”

Speaking about the 38-year-old DJ’s love of the music industry, the post added: “Jack’s passion for music and his relentless drive to push creative boundaries through his work at the Numbers label and Rubadub Records in Glasgow, including discovering countless innovative artists.” , made him a popular and pioneering figure in the electronic music community both in front of and behind the scenes.

“His talent for mixing genres and delivering electrifying DJ sets and production has earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and fans around the world,” the post continued. “His legacy will continue to inspire and his impact on the world of dance music will remain indelible.”

The post not only lovingly remembers Jack and his musical talents, but also asks fans to respect the privacy of his loved ones. “While the family is deeply touched by the overwhelming support from friends, colleagues and fans, they kindly request privacy as they cope with the immense sadness of this devastating loss.”
