The victim was declared dead on arrival at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS), the police spokesperson said, adding that an FIR under Section 103 (punishment for murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Parimpora had been a police station.

“The defendant was arrested and the murder weapon was confiscated,” he said.
