Bengals player to watch

Quarterback Joe Burrow threw a career-best five touchdown passes against Baltimore for 392 yards and a passer rating of 137.0. His fifth scoring throw came via a quick screen to Ja’Marr Chase, who took it 70 yards for his second touchdown of the day. Burrow has thrown for 1,370 yards, 12 TDs and two interceptions this season.

Giants player to watch

Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence is having his best season. The six-year veteran posted a career-best performance with three sacks last weekend against Seattle and has six sacks this season. He is tied with Will McDonald of the Jets for second in the league. Through five games, Lawrence has 16 tackles, 10 quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and one pass defended. He is also used as a double team most of the time.

Key match

The Giants’ front seven against the Bengals’ offensive line. New York leads the NFL with 22 sacks. That pressure has allowed a young secondary to settle in, and it did a good job against Seahawks star DK Metcalf and Co. last week, sacking Geno Smith seven times. The Bengals have given up 11 sacks, including three this past weekend.

Bengals: Starting CB Dax Hill tore his ACL last week and is out. CB DJ Ivey (knee), HB Chase Brown (quadriceps) and CB Mike Hilton (knee) are on the injury report. … Giants WR Malik Nabers (concussion), OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux (wrist), P Jamie Gillan (hamstring), RB Devin Singletary (groin) and PR KOR Bryce Ford Wheaton (shoulder) are out. CB Adoree Jackson (calf), CB Dru Phillips (shoulder, calf) and OLB Brian Burns (groin) are on the injury report. The Giants signed P Matt Haack to replace Gillan.
