Shock waves across India: The tragic murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique

India’s political landscape was rocked by the brutal murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai on Saturday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed shock, condemned the violence and asserted that such acts had no place in civil society.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and former Congress MP, was tragically shot dead by three assailants. Although he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, the 66-year-old leader succumbed to his injuries, prompting widespread condemnation and a call for justice.

Two of the attackers were arrested but the incident leaves a scar on the political community as leaders extend condolences to Siddique’s grieving family and party colleagues and mourn his untimely death.
