The Italian team of Adler Entertainment and 39Films works on the IP Incubator Writing Box to promote collaboration between Italian and global screenwriters (exclusive)

The Italian company Adler Entertainment and 39Films have joined forces to form an innovative IP incubator called Writing Box, which will bring together Italian and global screenwriters with the aim of producing feature films, television series and documentaries for the international market.

The initiative, which launches next week at Rome’s Mia market, is the brainchild of Adler’s Marco Colombo, Mattia della Puppa and Italy-based Argentine producer Alfredo Federico, founder of Italy’s 39Films. Federico’s appearances in Latin American film include “Tropa de Elite”, winner of the 2008 Berlin Golden Bear, and “The Burning Plain” by Guillermo Arriaga.

Adler Entertainment is a Milan-based distributor of indie titles like Sydney Sweeney-starrer Immaculate, which has also specialized in production in recent years. Their productions include Mogwai: If the Stars Had a Sound, the documentary about cult Scottish band Mogwai, which was widely toured at the festivals this year.
